A little more about us
Based in Weston, Hitchin, our dedicated and skilled team provide feasibility studies, structural and civil engineering design, supervisory and expert witness services to both the public and private sectors of industry.
Our success is founded on our established record of close and personal liaison with clients and other members of the professional team to ensure that all projects, large or small, are completed economically and to the clients’ satisfaction. Every project is important to us, whether a new or regular client.

Founded in 1973, we have continued to evolve and are a thriving and innovative client focussed practice of Consulting Civil and Structural Engineers. We have in place quality control procedures and working practices that have been implemented over the years to ensure accurate and co-ordinated designs. These same procedures ensure that we provide a consistent first class service — a service to which our regular clients have become accustomed. However we are able to adapt and tailor working procedures to meet client specific frameworks and meet the changing expectations and needs for the structural and civil engineer in today’s construction industry. We regularly meet client targets for both budget and programme.
If one of our clients is dissatisfied, then so are we. We endeavour to build a relationship of trust with each of our clients and with all other members of the design team. Regular feedback from our clients also plays an essential part in keeping our service of the highest standard.
Up-to-date technology
Computers are intensively used throughout all aspects of the business. The continued investment in computer aided design and finite frame analysis, backed up by a wealth of I.T. experience, means that we can provide a speedy and accurate response to either initial briefs or to changes in requirements. All drawings are produced on CAD (and BIM Revit when asked). All calculations are computer based, thus all production information is electric for easy transfer to members of the design team.
However good we feel that our service is to our clients, we cannot afford to rest on our laurels. Without continual improvements, we know that we would soon lose the confidence that only years of dedication can bring. To that end, continuing professional development is essential for all team members and is strongly encouraged. Regular training & seminars are an integral part of the RHA ethos.
